Residents living in Kelapa Island, Seribu Islands are requesting a Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) to meet the need for clean water in their region.
The machine (RO) can only produce 6,200 liters of clean water per day. In fact, the number of population in Kelapa Island is reaching 6,500 people
This is because, the Reserve Osmosis (RO) machine from Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept. is deemed unoptimal.
Council Hoped that SWRO Construction will Be Realized This Year"The machine (RO) can only produce 6,200 liters of clean water per day. In fact, the number of population in Kelapa Island is reaching 6,500 people," he stated, Head of Kelapa Island Urban Village, Wednesday (3/1).
According to him, the machine that has a larger capacity such as SWRO is much needed. Thus clean water for residents can be fulfilled.
"We need SWRO, because the raw material is from the sea water, but not from groundwater such as RO that is limited," he finished.
